How to be Confident as a Teenage Girl...

in , , , by spiritually fit girl, November 11, 2022

Do you feel uncomfortable, like you don't fit in, or have anxiety about going out places? Well, don't worry. I used to be in your shoes, and I'm here to tell you there is a way to find confidence.

First, you don't need to be an independent woman who has a business and doesn't depend on men for anything, to be confident. I used to have trouble with that mindset, and I used to think that I couldn't be confident if I were not a strong independent woman. And let me say, it was hard to get that out of my head until I prayed and changed how I looked at it.

The truth is, women can be strong without being independent. We are strong Through Christ, and he is all of our strength. God gave women the calling to take care of their households and families. Is that a weak calling? No, not at all. After all, God's calling, and He knows the plans He has for us. But why is it so hard to wrap this around our heads? Because when we think about this, we think of women just staying at home and doing nothing while our husbands go to work. Well, that is not the case at all. Women who stay home to teach their kids and care for their house are strong and brave. Brave enough to be small, but not small in a weak way, small enough to not take the man's place in the world, think about that.

One day after praying about it, God put this on my heart: we, as girls and women, do not need to find our confidence in working, how we look, how independent we are, or anything like that. We need to find our confidence in Christ Jesus and Him alone. He is our rock; without Him there, we would fall. When you go zip lining, you are harnessed in, so all your confidence, faith, and hope are in that harness. God is that harness for us in life. Why would we need to find our confidence in anything else? You should say one sentence to yourself to boost confidence, not "I am a strong independent woman who does not need a man or anything else to tell me who I am or what to do." Instead, "I am a beautiful child, daughter, and princess of the one true King; He chose me, He loves me, and I've been set free." What great words!

So, to wrap this blog up, I would like to say these few things: Jesus is our confidence; we don't need to find it anywhere else. And the Lord has excellent plans for you; He chose you and loves you very much! Dig deep into His word and trust Him.
