Things can get stressful and messy, and our calendars can get packed. That's just the way it is! How do we deal with those moments, though? Today we will be going through what to do and how to deal with things when life gets stressful as a teenager.
As teens, we have school and chores, and some of us have small jobs to work on, and on top of that, we need to eat healthily, get a good amount of sleep and move our bodies, and of course, we can"t ever forget our relationship with God that has to come first. Boy, that's a lot! Life can be stressful and messy when you have that much stuff to do. It's what we do and how we act in those moments, though.
"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." Proverbs 16:3.
We can end the blog right here, my friends! This verse says it all! "Commit your work to the Lord." It says, do all things with a servant's heart. We are servants of the Lord; our plans will be established if we live like that. So whatever you are going through, whatever you are doing, Commit that to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
Jesus says, "Come to me all who are labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Mathew 11:28.
What a beautiful verse. If you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed, go to the Lord, He welcomes you and will give you rest.
Stress might also come from fear; This verse say's,"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfect in love." 1 John 4:18.
If you have fear in your heart, do not feel ashamed. That happens to everyone! We are sinners. This verse says that "there is no fear in love. It also says that, "whoever fears has not been perfect in love." There is no way we can love perfectly because we aren't perfect. So does that mean we will always fear? No, although we may not be perfect, God is. And He loves us so much! Love God, my friend, and all your worries and fears will be gone.
God has the perfect love we need; all we have to do is come to Him! He is such an incredible, loving, beautiful savior. God has you; trust Him.
Now let's get to the five things that I like to do to calm down and get rid of some stress:
- journal/meditate on God’s word
- make a to-do list
- go on a walk
- Sit outside when you do your homework or studying
- reward yourself when you get something done
If you have some ways as well, let me know! I would love to try some new things out!
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds." James 1:2.
Side Note: I hope you guys are having a fantastic day! It is a little warmer today, so I'm in the fall mood again! I'm just about to finish Proverbs. I have two more chapters left, and I love it! If you want to know what plan I am doing, it is the Bible Recap; it's a Bible in a year plan, and it's incredible! I hope you guys are having a great fall! See you in the next blog!
